Audit Supervisor (Zambia)
Job description
We are seeking suitably qualified Audit Supervisor to join our Audit and Assurance team. The successful candidate will oversee planning and execution of audit engagements, lead and mentor audit staff, and ensure that work is delivered with the highest standards of quality, compliance and client service. The successful candidate will also be responsible for driving audit progress, reviewing workpapers, managing stakeholder relationships and supporting the firm’s commitment to technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
Plan audits including risk assessment, scoping and developing audit programs aligned with engagement objectives.
Review audit work (planning, risk assessments, testing, conclusions, and working papers) for compliance with relevant auditing standards.
Manage and coordinate staff including assigning tasks, reviewing progress and coaching
Ensure compliance with the firm methodology and external regulatory/standards
requirements.
Prepare and present audit findings to engagement partners/managers and communicate key issues to clients appropriately.
Support resource planning, monitoring engagement progress and performance.
Maintain strong client relationships by providing professional, timely and proactive communication.
Identify and escalate technical issues and contribute to continuous improvements in audit quality.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA/CPA/ZICA/ICAZ / CIMA or equivalent)
Must be studying towards a professional qualification such as ZICA, ACCA.
3-6+ years audit experience in an audit firm (experience in supervision/leadership required). Experience managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CaseWare Methodology.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A valid driver’s license
