BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INTERNS     Company Description:

Longhorn Associates is a fast growing Investment Management Company regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), the Pensions & Insurance Authority (PIA) and the Lusaka Securities Exchange(LuSE).

It is also a member of the Capital Markets Association of Zambia (CMAZ) and the Zambia Association of Pension Funds (ZAPF).

Longhorn provides various investment products and services as well as securities
trading services to both retail and institutional clients.

Position Overview:
The Business Development Interns will be part of a team supporting our sales outreach and whose responsibilities will be to identify potential clients, establish new prospective client relationships and drive new revenue for the company.

The Business Development Internship
also serves as Longhorn’s base point for
exploring multiple areas and opportunities in our rapidly growing market.
We have internship opportunities at our Ndola and Kitwe offices and are looking for outgoing candidates with a goal orientation, the ability to learn quickly and execute with excellence, organizational skills, attention to detail, and superior communication skills.

The ideal candidates will be organized, have a basis for action, and have a deep commitment to learning and growth.
This role will involve a dynamic
range of initiatives that have a tangible and significant impact on the company.

What You’ll Do:
Identify, generate, and advance sales leads.
Liaise with your supervisor to ensure sales activation.
Initiate and monitor sales through in-house communication.
Dealing with client queries.

What You’lI Need
Honesty and ability to communicate effectively in and across teams.
Must possess strong verbal, written,
and interpersonal communication skills.
Detail-oriented organizational skills.
A competitive academic record with preference for a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
