CAPTAIN NON-TYPE RATED – JETSTREAM 41

Contract: 2 years/ Renewable Reports To: Chief Pilot
Start Date: 1 October 2026
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The commander must take all reasonable steps to:
• Maintain familiarity with relevant Zambian and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
• Maintain familiarity with such provisions of the Proflight Zambia Commuter Services Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil his function.
• Ensuring that Proflight Zambia operates safely and complies with Zambian and International regulations and in particular to the terms laid down in the Air Operator’s Certificate and continuously monitoring such compliance and improving such compliance.
• Ensuring that Proflight Zambia complies with all security regulations both for Zambian and International and to the terms laid down in the Air Operator’s Certificate and continuously monitoring such compliance and improving such compliance.
• Ensure the proper and full validity of himself and of each crew member license and medical (including special conditions or restrictions, but not limited to, corrective lens requirements) is correct and will remain so for the flight and or series of flight the crew will undertake.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO:
• Zambian Citizen or resident preferred
• Zambian ATPL with instrument rating
• 3000 hrs total flight time
• 500 PIC on turbo prop above 5,700kg, MCC-Crew Cooperation qualification (MCC)
