REPORTING TO: CHEF
JOB PURPOSE
To implement kitchen activities by ensuring quality food preparation is done deciding what dishes to serve and orders
to meet guests’ requests are done timely with efficiency
DUTIES
Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
implement and effectively follow the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients
Implement all kitchen operations
prepare and cook all the menu items.
Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Keeping up to date with industry trends.
Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Zambian citizen aged between 18-35 years in possession of a green National Registration Card (NRC)
Grade Twelve (12) school certificate
Minimum 2 years experience as a Cook
Must be able to perform with minimum supervision
SKILLS
Honest
Must apply tact and diplomacy in his or her duties
Must exhibit good interpersonal skills
Able to work without supervision
No criminal record
Must be sober minded
