Coordinator – Drilling

VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: COORDINATOR- DRILL AND BLAST
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Coordinator Drill and Blast to join the versatile Mining Team.
Reporting to the Drill and Blast Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing technical support, leadership, coaching and supervision for the operation across all drilling activities.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
– Control the allocation of the drill rigs according to the mine plan/priorities
– Interpreting the daily weekly planned targets to the Drill and Blast Crew.
– Control the allocation of the drill rigs according to the mine plan/priorities
– Take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all personnel including contractors working within the mining area during shift.
– Monitor availability and utilization of the drilling equipment

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
– Grade 12 certificate
– Diploma in Mining engineering or equivalent
– Five (5) years’ experience in the open pit mining industry
– Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, power point presentations and spreadsheet applications.
– Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations
– Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent
– Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
