COURT CLERK (JSS 04) X 3 (Annual Basic Salary of K47, 702.04) to be based
at Chipata I Local Court, Katete Boma Local Court Mphamba Local Court, in
Chipata District, Katete District and Lundazi District respectively.
JOB PURPOSE:
To undertake the recording of Court proceedings and maintenance of all financial and Court records in order to facilitate the administration of Justice.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Undertakes effectively the recording of court procecdings in order to facilitate the
maintenance of an accurate record.
Undertakes periodically produetion and compilation of Court returns in order to
facilitate decision making.
Undertakes timely preparation of the Cause Iist in order to provide information
on matters coming up in court.
Undertakes the storage and presentation of exhibits in order to facilitate adjudication.
Undertakes timely the preparation of documentation for appeals to Appellate
Courts in order to facilitate the administration of justice.
Undertakes efficiently the conducting of interviews with potential litigants in
order to establish the nature of their cases
Undertakes efliciently the receipting of fees paid to the court in order to facilitate
accountability of funds.
Undertakes timely the banking of collected fees in order to ensure their safety.
Undertakes timely the preparation of books of accounts in order to facilitate
accountability for public funds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with Five (5) O level Credits or better
including English.
A Certificate in Management Studies or cquivalent will be an added advantage.
Must be between 18 and 44 years.
Oral/Written Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in linglish and Ability to write case records.
