ELECTRICAL CRAFTSPERSON
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Craftsperson to join the Southern Switchgear team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge and practical experience working with various electrical systems and devices.

Reporting to the Projects Supervisor, key responsibilities will include:
● Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
● Troubleshooting electrical faults and providing safe, effective solutions.
● Planning and organizing tasks to ensure smooth and efficient project operations.
● Working independently and as part of a team while promoting a strong culture of safety and excellence.
● Contributing to our “Zero Harm” work environment. where safety always comes first.
● Collaborating with colleagues and demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and respect.
● Ensuring all electrical work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification of a Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years of practical experience in electrical work. Experience working with industrial and/or commercial electrical systems will be an added advantage
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team Commitment to workplace safety and professional standards.
