About the role
Cherry Hills International School is seeking a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive and well-managed classroom, assess learner progress, and support the academic and personal development of every learner.
We are looking for a confident, dependable educator with strong primary classroom experience, sound Cambridge Primary curriculum knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping learners reach their full potential while upholding the values and professional standards of the school.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom
- Assess, record and report on learner progress
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
- Support learners with different abilities and learning needs
- Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues
- Participate in school activities, meetings and events
- Uphold the school’s policies, values and safeguarding standards
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated primary classroom teaching experience, preferably two years or more
- Strong lesson-planning and classroom-management skills
- Sound knowledge of the Cambridge Primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Professional, dependable and committed to learner development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education
- Valid Teaching Council of Zambia registration
