Cherry Hills International School is seeking a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain a positive and well-managed classroom, assess learner progress, and support the academic and personal development of every learner.

We are looking for a confident, dependable educator with strong primary classroom experience, sound Cambridge Primary curriculum knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping learners reach their full potential while upholding the values and professional standards of the school.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom
  • Assess, record and report on learner progress
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
  • Support learners with different abilities and learning needs
  • Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues
  • Participate in school activities, meetings and events
  • Uphold the school’s policies, values and safeguarding standards

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated primary classroom teaching experience, preferably two years or more
  • Strong lesson-planning and classroom-management skills
  • Sound knowledge of the Cambridge Primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional, dependable and committed to learner development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education
  • Valid Teaching Council of Zambia registration
