WE ARE HIRING!
We are recruiting a proactive Human Resources Officer to join National Breweries, Northern Region/ Kitwe (Delta Beverages). This role supports HR administration and industrial relations across our plants and centres, ensuring compliant HR systems, effective employee relations and strong people processes.
Requirements
• Recruit and onboard staff; manage selection, offers and inductions.
• Maintain and update employee records and personal files in SAP/ERP, Payroll and Aspiration.
• Ensure job descriptions are created, issued and maintained for all NEC jobs.
• Track drive and report competency acquisition.
• Manage leave capture, payroll input and embrace SmartHR for leave application and approval.
• Conduct HR internal audits to ensure adherence to SOPs and systems at Kitwe plant.
• Identify training needs from performance appraisals and support learning interventions.
• Monitor industrial relations; advise line managers on conditions of service, discipline, grievance handling and labour law compliance.
• Conduct disciplinary hearings and liaise with lawyers, Ministry of Labour and Trade Unions as required.
• Provide counselling services and support employee welfare (transport, medical aid, canteen, clinic, uniforms, staff issues).
• Prepare regular HR reports: monthly headcount, HR Board reports, weekly Mancom inputs and adhoc reports.
• Support implementation of management systems
Qualifications and experience
• University degree in HRM
• Member of ZIHRM
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
• In-depth knowledge of the Labour Relations Act and related legislation.
• Understanding of NEC agreements and industrial relations practices.
• Computer literate; knowledge of SAP/ERP an advantage.
