Job description
Centre for Environment Justice (CEJ) is a registered non-governmental organization established in 2010 with the mission to empower, enhance and strengthen environmentally challenged communities, youth, children, women and men by involving them in promoting environmental justice and sustainable management of natural resources. CEJ actively mobilise public support through information collection and dissemination, advocating for policy development, implementation & consultation; research, campaigns, community and traditional leaders’ engagements, promotion of alternative livelihoods, policy dialogues, awareness & sensitization; lobby & advocacy.
The Centre for Environment Justice is therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified and innovative candidates to take up the position OF IT Officer:
Responsibilities
– Manage, maintain and update the CEJ App and Website.
– Manage, maintain and update CEJ social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube & Instagram).
– Design graphic content in line with CEJ programme deliverables and work focus (Extractive Industries,
Environment Conservation, Sustainable Energy, Climate Change and Agriculture).
– Development of Technological app project ideas in line with the organisation mandate in collaboration with
Departmental Heads (Programmes, Research, Finance).
The IT Officer will work closely with the Departmental Heads (Programmes, Research, Finance) with support from Executive Director.
Qualifications
Grade 12 Certificate.
Holder of Diploma /Bachelors in Information Technology, Web design & graphics.
Contract Duration
1 year renewable based on performance.
