The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (“the Commission”) is a
Statutory Body under Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry, with a total
establishment of one hundred employees. The Commission was established under the
Competition and Consumer Protection Act No 24 of 2010 of the Laws of Zambia. The
objectives of the Commission are to safeguard and promote competition and to protect consumers against unfair trade practices.
The Commission invites suitably qualified and highly motivated candidates to apply for the following post:
1. INVESTIGATORS (4 POSITIONS)

CHIPATA Office (1)
CHINSALI Office (1)
KASAMA Office (1)
LUSAKA Office (1)
1 Undertakes effective investigation and assessment of trading practices in order
to enhance consumer protection.
2. Undertakes effective development and implementation of Information,
Education & Communication (IEC) programmes for consumer protection in order to raise awareness on consumer issues.
3. Undertake awareness campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
1. A Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or other related business
disciplines.
2. Team player, self-starter, sober, mature disposition, pays attention to detail.
3. Excellent analytical, report writing and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power
Point etc.).
4. Valid Driver’s License is an added advantage.
5. Local Language, an added advantage.
