VACANCY – NEWS REPORTER
Capital FM is looking for a male News Reporter to join our newsroom team in Lusaka.
Key Responsibilities
• Research, gather and report accurate and timely news
• Cover breaking news, events and assignments
• Conduct interviews and develop compelling news stories
• Deliver confident and professional live reports
• Write, edit and produce content for radio and digital platforms
• Verify information and maintain high journalistic and ethical standards
Requirements
• Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in journalism or broadcast news
• Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills
• Strong live reporting and on-air communication skills
• Good knowledge of current affairs and local issues
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexible newsroom shifts
• Good command of English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage
• Must be proactive, professional and able to work independently
