Brasys (Bracing Africa’s Health & Social Protection Systems for Sustainability) is a non- governmental organisation based in Zambia and a non-profit affiliate of the BroadImpact Group. Brasys deploys monitoring, evaluation and learning services, quality improvement processes, organisational development initiatives, and innovative sustainability approaches, in partnership with donors and NGOs, to strengthen public sector institutions, community-based and grassroots organisations in Zambia. We are expanding our research and evaluation services portfolio and are seeking an experienced evaluation consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities

Lead the evaluation and research team, and serve as team lead on evaluation and research assignments.
Oversee evaluation projects implementation; ensuring quality of activities, robust processes, effective budget administration, gender, safeguarding and ethical considerations.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis for large scale research projects.
Represent Brasys in meetings and forums with partners, funders, government and other stakeholders as required.
Support new business development for Brasys; identifying potential projects and assignments, working with Country Director to identify personnel and other resources, as well as writing proposals.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience, and at least 5 years conducting research and evaluations.
Must have a Masters degree in a relevant area.
Extensive experience implementing development programs (Health (HIV, TB, Malaria, RMNCH, Nutrition, Social Protection, Education or Livelihoods)
Experience working in an evaluation firm as consultant or full time personnel
Experience in new business development especially proposal writing and stakeholder relationship management
Strong analytical and software skills for both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
Excellent communication skills especially report writing skills and public presentation skills.
Strong capacity building skills in research methods and data analysis
Good understanding of local context
