Duties
Position is located in the Management Section of Mission Lusaka and serves as While Actually Employed (WAE) secretary reporting to the Human Resources Specialist. The incumbent provides administrative services to Mission offices as needed when full-time employees are absent from duty.

Specifically the selected candidate will be responsible for entering inventory item codes into a database, updating current records and transferring incoming items to the system to make it uniform. They will monitor location transfer requests for the Systems team, document items for disposal and create appropriate paperwork and signatures.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years office administration or secretarial experience is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: The position requires knowledge of pertinent post policy and Department of State regulations. Incumbent must also have a thorough knowledge of office administration.

Education Requirements:

Successful completion of senior secondary/high school is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: A clear command of both written and spoken English (Level IV) is required. Language may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to prioritize large numbers of varied tasks, good follow-up and organization skills. The incumbent must be detail oriented, flexible, and possess good management skills. Excellent Microsoft Office skills with Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Good keyboarding skills are required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Lusaka, Zambia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
