Minimum Requirements
- Full Grade 12 certificate.
- 5 or more years’ experience in a metallurgy sample preparation operation.
- Ability to initiate and follow through until completion of activities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Highly motivated and flexible
- Proven organisational skills and a team player
- Safety conscious
- Able to express opinions and ideas freely
- Maintain a presentable and professional self-image (cleanliness)
- Interpersonal skills
Job Specification
- Ensuring samples are collected as per schedule
- Prepare samples within the turnaround time.
- Follow all sample preparation procedures.
- Label sample envelopes properly.
- Record all samples prepared on shift in the delivery and receipt books/system
- Reporting all defective equipment (grinders, Ovens…) to the Shift Sample preparation Supervisor.
- Working co-operatively.
