The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the positions of Lecturers in the School of Business, Economics and Management on full time basis.
These candidates should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in respect of the following courses;
1. Corporate Finance
2. Cost and Management Accounting
3. Financial Accounting
4. Taxation
5. Auditing

Qualifications
To be considered for these positions one must have the following qualifications;
• A Bachelor of Accountancy Degree or full ACCA, CIMA and CA
• A Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology
A PhD in these particular fields will be an added advantage.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

1. Economics

Qualifications
To be considered for the above mentioned course, one should have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts in Economics or its equivalent.
• Master of Arts in Economics.
• PhD in the relevant field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing methodology.
Five (5) years industrial experience in these field of study will be added advantage.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

Summary of Job Responsibilities
• Provide lectures for the above mentioned courses.
• Develop and improve course outlines and teaching materials for the assigned cours
• Carry out research and publish materials.
Supervising both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students’ research work.
• Prepare lesson plans at the start of each semester for the assigned courses.

Key Qualities and skills:
• Self-motivated and resourceful with strong intellectual ability.
• Ability to research and create new knowledge.
• Should be a goal getter and a team player.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be articulate and have strong interpersonal skills.
• High level of planning and organizing skills.
• Must be familiar with Moodle e-learning platform or other e-learning platforms.
Passionate about teaching and research.
