Location : Mumbwa, Zambia (Operation is about 20km from Mumbwa Center).
Reports : Operations Manager
Nature of business : Minerals Processing Plant (Start-up)
Start Date : Required Immediate

Duties and responsibilities
We are hiring a hands-on maintenance worker to join our maintenance team. You will inspect different equipment and perform repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, mechanical equipment & electrical maintenance is key in this role, one should be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals. Experience in electric motor, manual gearbox, drive alignment. The
activities of the successful individual will include but not limited to:
 Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
 Equipment Lubrication
 Electrical maintenance and trouble shooting, electric motors, starters etc.
 Welding & plumbing activities.
 Basic pump maintenance, bearing replacement.
 Performing preventative maintenance.
 Mechanical repairs and maintenance, manual gearboxes, pulley alignment.
 Maintenance of jaw crushers and other Ore crushing equipment.
 Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
 Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills
 Proven maintenance experience, mechanical, electrical & plumbing.
 Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
 Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
 Fixed or mobile equipment maintenance experience.
 Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
 Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
 Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
 Experience performing routine maintenance.
 Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

Experience & Education
 Required at least 5 years experience in a maintenance or operational environment.
 Technical qualification is desirable.
