WEAC is now looking for highly committed and a qualified individual to be considered for the
position of Biodiversity Intern.

Role Summary
The Biodiversity Intern will be responsible for planning, organising, coordination, research, and monitoring of all biodiversity related activities, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of program goals,
objectives, and targets.

Responsibilities
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:-
Facilitate the implementation and the maintenance of an effective operational biodiversity
enterprise development strategy.
Facilitate identification and mapping of green businesses and stakeholders in Zambia
Monitor and report on biodiversity business performance and ensure data biodiversity
data is updated regularly.

Define biodiversity Key Performance Indicators and set performance targets for the organization in line with the corporate targets; report on performance and ensure data integrity.

Provide assurance against biodiversity enterprise standards.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of project objectives.

Prepare enterprise biodiversity related implementation plans, budgets and written reports as required.

Develop briefs on progress on biodiversity interventions and identify impactful case
studies to be documented.

Facilitate review and analysis of biodiversity related policies and take stock of relevant biodiversity policies.

Support and coordinate training and mentoring of businesses on the biodiversity accelerator program.

Provide technical assistance in the development and role out of the biodiversity tool kit.

Participate in biodiversity enterprise research and impact assessment.

Any other duties that may be assigned.

Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Environmental related science such as Botany, ecology, Zoology, Wildlife, Natural Resources Management or equivalent from a recognized University.

No post qualification experience needed.

Desired attributes
Proven ability to learn and act as a change agent, Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas.
