ICT Officer

Reporting to the ICT Specialist, the job holder will provide support to manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure i.e., Server, Network, CCTV, Security and Telecommunication equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
To install, configure and maintain ICT infrastructure to ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance
Monitor managed ICT services to ensure they are provided within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA
Implement information system and network security according to agency ICT security policies and procedures
Prepare and implement backup and restoration procedures of data and systems
Prepare documentation of the ICT infrastructure i.e., server and network documentation
Plan and conduct ICT Infrastructure preventive maintenance
Maintain a record of ICT equipment and software licenses
Provide first and second-line diagnosis and support service
Provide training to agency staff as and when required in various productivity applications
Research new and emerging technologies and advice on how best they can be used in the agency
To assist to prepare ad-hoc and periodic reports.

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computing or equivalent
Server and Networking Certification
One (1) year of experience, working in a reputable organization
Experience in administering and managing Microsoft and Linux Server Environments, Virtualization Technologies, Cloud solutions e.g. Microsoft Azure, and Storage solutions (HP. EMC)
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving skills
Good communication skills, including the ability to provide clear explanations in person, by email and on the phone
An eye for detail in satisfying customer requests fully
Member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
