The Judiciary is an independent arm of Government established under Part Vill

of the Constitution (Amendment) No. 2 of 2016. Its mission is “To administer

justice to all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner”. In

order to improve service delivery, the Judiciary under Muchinga Province is

inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to be considered for the following positions;

3. Local Court Messenger (JSS 03) x 7 (Annual Basic Salary of K50, 443.58)

to be based at Mwenichifungwe Local Court In Mafinga District,
Nakonde Local Court in Nakonde District, Mpepo Local Court In
Kanchiblya District, Tembwe and Chikwa Local Court In Chama District and Chinsall Local Court in Chinsal District respectively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be required to report to the Magistrate-In-
Charge and will be responsible for the following duties:

(i) To undertake effectively the serving of processes and execution of court orders in order to facilitate the administration of justice.
(ii) To undertake effectively the prosecution of contempt matters in
order to facilitate dispensation of justice.
(iii) To undertake effectively the provision of security to the local courts in
order to facilitate orderliness during the proceedings.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Full Form V or Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with five (5) ‘0’Level
Credits or better including English and Mathematics. Certificate in security will be an added advantage.
• Ability to write reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of at least one local language (Bemba, Bisa, Senga and
Namwanga). Knowledge of Swahili will be an added advantage.
• Must be between the age of 18 and 44 years.

OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
• High levels of Integrity.
• Must possess high levels of Confidentiality.
• Good Interpersonal skills.
• Must be physically fit.
